Hello, friends! 😁

Today, we’re introducing an update focused on further improving the customization of your library, with a new SteamGridDB integration, and even more options to personalize your games in Hydra.

You can now choose SteamGridDB assets directly from the Launcher, add custom covers, resize all your custom images, and automatically sync them to your account with Hydra Cloud.

All these new features are available for both PC and classic games.

SteamGridDB

When accessing a game’s customization options, Hydra will now display all types of images available on SteamGridDB directly within the icons, logos, banners, and covers tabs.

You can browse through the available options and choose whichever image you prefer, without needing to download and import it manually. Animated images from SteamGridDB are also supported.

Additionally, SteamGridDB images will also be used for games that do not have any images by default, which is the case for many older or delisted games.

Custom covers

Covers are now part of Hydra’s customizable asset collection, alongside icons, logos, and banners.

You can choose a cover available on SteamGridDB or use any compatible file stored on your computer.

Custom Image Sync

Hydra Cloud now syncs all your games’ custom assets, including covers, icons, logos, and banners.

This includes both images selected from SteamGridDB and files uploaded manually, keeping your library personalized across different devices.

Profile

And since Hydra Cloud syncs all your custom images, if you are a Hydra Cloud member, they will also be displayed on your profile.

The covers, icons, logos, and banners you choose may be visible to other people when they view your games.

Big Picture support

To accommodate these changes, we have also added support for choosing SteamGridDB assets and custom covers directly through Big Picture.

You can browse the available options or select files stored on your computer using only your controller.
